flickr photos mashed into google maps disc golf courses

the snow's been too deep to disc golf, so i've had the time to do some huge programming for my disc golf site. i'm really happy at getting it all to work right, because i've been meaning to do it forever.

now with the ordered slideshow of course pictures a click away from a course's info and still in-map, it finally gives all the photos i've been taking a purpose other than just sitting there. i tagged up about a thousand from my last set already, and i'll be working to get the rest of the photos in there hopefully soon.

A really great feature to add would be a radius search from a point (or city or whatever). This would be really really useful for border towns (Charlotte, Omaha, Quad Cities, etc., etc.). Thanks.

I'm probably not going to do a radius search, but i WILL eventually make different icons at different zoom_levels, grouping clumps of courses too close to differentiate together with a marker that says how many courses are on that spot. when i do, i'll open up the data-sets accross state-lines, which all-together should be better and easier than a radius search.

..no promises about when i get around to it tho. some day! ^_^

It's probably painfully obvious and i'm ready for flaming, but how do you add a course that's not mapped? Or do i give you the info? thanks!

i don't really have one. i direct people to the pdga listing to add courses, since i try to keep in-line with their listing, which is easier said than done.

i've been slacking on the site and haven't re-updated the course listing from them in months, but when i get the time again, i will!
