Passing Thru

PASSING THRU by Blakeslee

Passing thru, passing thru
Sometimes happy sometimes blue
Glad that I ran into you
Tell the people that you saw me passing thru

I saw Adam leave the garden
with an apple in his hand
I said now you're out
What are you gonna do
Plant some crops and pray for rain
maybe raise a little cain
I'm an orphan and I'm only passing thru

I saw Jesus on the cross
On that hill called Calvary
Do you hate mankind for what they've done to you
He said speak of love, not hate
Things to do, it's getting late
I've so little time and I'm just passing thru

I shivered with George Washington
One night at Valley Forge
I asked why do men freeze here like they do
He said men will suffer, fight,
Even die, for what is right
Even tho they know they're only passing thru

I rode with old Abe Lincoln
On that train to Gettysburg
And I asked him what he thought to be most true
He said every man must be
Unconditionally free
We're all brothers and we're only passing thru

I was at Franklin Roosevelt's side
Just a while before he died
He said one world must come out of World War II
Yankee, Russian, Black or tan
Still a man is just a man
We're all strangers and we're only passing thru

I was with those freedom riders
on that bus to Birmingham
They said all men are equal, that is true
And the answer when it came
Brought those freedom riders fame
Freedom's colors are red, white, black, and blue

st. malachy's papal predictions continue to be true

Malachy O Morgain(1094-1148)was an Irish priest and seer who foretold the identities of 112 Roman Catholic popes, from the reign of Celestine 11 in 1143 to the present time and beyond.

Benedict XV was given the chilling appellation "Religio Depopulata" (" Religion laid waste"). Unfortunately, it was accurate.Benedict served from 1914 to 1922, when World War 1 "laid waste" the religious populations of several continents.

John XXX111 occupied the Vatican from 1958 to 1963. Malachy called him " Pastor et Nauta," or "Pastor and sailor" Certainly a great pastor to his own people, John "modernized" his Church and wrote one of the most brilliant papal documents in history, Pacem in Terris. He was also a true pastor of the world, loved and admired by millions of non-Catholics, from 1953 until he became pope in 1958, John was the patriarch of Venice, a city full of sailors. When he convoked the Ecumenical Council in 1962, John chose two symbols for the council badge-a cross and a ship.

His successor, Paul VI, was represented by "Flos Florum" in Malachy s vision: "flower of flowers." Paul's coat of arms depicted three fleurs-de -lis.

John Paul 1, who succeeded Paul in 1978 and held office for only 34 days, was referred to as "De Medietate Lanae," or "from the half moon. "John Paul's papal mission was undoubtedly less than " half" completed when he died. His given name was Albino Luciani, or "white light"- such as that given off by the half-moon in Malachy s prophecy.

One of Malachy s strangest predictions concerned the pope who would follow "De Medietate Lunae. "He is designated as "De Labore Solis", or "from the toil of the sun." Applied to John Paul 11, this phrase reveals nothing less than a double prophecy. The current pope, the first non-Italian elected in 456 years, is a native of Krakow, Poland. Krakow is the city where, in the 15th and 16th centuries, Copernicus "toiled" for years to prove his heretical theory that the earth revolved around the sun. Many of Malachy s interpreters also suggested that the "sun" reference indicated a young pope. Fifty- eight years old at the time of his election, John Paul 11 is the youngest pope in over a century.

John Paul II s successor is called " Gloria Olivae," or "glory of the olive. "traditionally, the olive branch has been associated with peace, but in both the Old and New Testaments it also serves as an emblem for the Jews. Putting the two together, some commentators believe that the reign of this pope will be a peaceful one during which the prophesied conversion of the Jews will take place. However , Malachy s description may instead refer to St. Benedicts 6th century prophecy that a member of his order will lead the Church in its fight against evil just before the Apocalypse. The Benedictine Order is known by another name: Olivetans.

The last of these prophecies concerns the end of the world and is as follows: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End." It has been noticed concerning Petrus Romanus, who according to St. Malachy's list is to be the last pope, that the prophecy does not say that no popes will intervene between him and his predecessor designated Gloria olivoe. It merely says that he is to be the last, so that we may suppose as many popes as we please before "Peter the Roman".

One final comment I would make. Even if the prophecies are genuine, there is certainly no reason to suppose we are only two popes away from the end of the world. There is no good reason to suppose „Peter the Roman“ comes immediately after „Gloria olivae“. In fact, the testimony of many Catholic saints through the centuries who had the gift of prophecy points to a great era of peace for the Church before the final tribulation, none of which has come to pass as yet. So it would be unwise for anyone to jump to the conclusion that even if Malachy’s prophecies are genuine, that the end of the world is near.

leetspeek was quickly corrupted after inception.

as i understand it, it was originally a natural evolution in the early online discussion forums that would censor words. i know that was the case on many of the major ones when -i- started: prodigy genie & aol. i had to do it again years later (maybe 3 years ago) playing a korean mmorpg called hellbreath.

so it's basically patternmatching-proofing while remaining human-readable. that actually has its' utility. circumventing censors, circumventing indexing (ie for websearching), and even choosing strong passwords. many security debaters will escalate the terms of choosing a password, from using 6+ characters and requiring 2 numerical characters, to reccommending you use acronyms (ie My Dog Has 13 Fleas = mdh13f) to resist dictionary or social-engineering attempts. l33tsp34k is just as functional as acronyms + requiring numerics. it's polymorphic too, L can be written as 1 or | or even /, \, or !. multi-character representations (F as /=) complicates any cracker's task; it's about as strong as it gets while remaining human readable/rememberable. 1ncr3dul0us.

socially, i kind of put it on par with graffitti, lots and lots is boring sloppy trash, but it can be done well enough to amaze you too. ...or at least look cool. concert posters in the 60s used all that funky lettering to inhibit readability to certain demographics...

updated: visit sunny chernobyl (more photos)

I've found out more about kidofspeed.com, specifically that she stretched the truth and was intentionally sensationalistic. so says this person anyway. I'm not entirely surprised.

apparantly, she didn't do anything beyond what the average joe is welcome to do. there's even a tour service so you can start planning your vacation!

here's some more good chernobyl photos, and here is a REALLY good 360degree panorama.
